As core power equipment in modern industry and the new energy sector, permanent magnet motors have unique logistics characteristics, placing high demands on transportation, warehousing, and supply chain management.


From a physical perspective, permanent magnet motors typically consist of rare earth permanent magnets (such as neodymium iron boron), copper wire windings, silicon steel sheets, and precision mechanical structures. They are heavy and compact. Permanent magnets possess strong magnetism and can interfere with electronic equipment or nearby metal components during transportation. Severe vibration or collision can even cause magnetic degradation. Therefore, shock and magnetization prevention measures are necessary during logistics, such as using specialized shock-absorbing packaging and magnetic isolation materials, and avoiding contact with strong magnetic fields.


During storage, permanent magnet motors are sensitive to environmental conditions. High temperatures can cause demagnetization of permanent magnets, while humid environments can easily cause winding insulation aging or metal component corrosion. Therefore, the storage environment must maintain a constant temperature and humidity (recommended temperature ≤ 40°C and relative humidity ≤ 60%), and tiered storage should be used to prevent stacking and deformation. Furthermore, due to the large size of some permanent magnet motors, warehouse space planning must reserve ample access for lifting and handling.

 

In terms of logistics and transportation, permanent magnet motors are typically bulky goods and require land, sea, or air transport, depending on the model. Land transport requires secure anchoring to prevent movement; sea transport requires protection against moisture and salt spray corrosion. Air transport, however, is limited by weight and size, and is more costly, making it suitable for urgent deliveries. Temperature, humidity, and vibration data must be monitored throughout transportation to ensure stable equipment conditions.

 

In summary, the logistics management of permanent magnet motors must take into account their magnetic properties, structure, and environmental sensitivity. Through specialized packaging, environmental control, and optimized transportation solutions, performance and delivery reliability can be guaranteed, thereby supporting the efficient operation of downstream industries.
